Fiat, established in July 1899, has reached the milestone of 125 years. Recently, the company commemorated this achievement with a series of festivities at the renowned Lingotto building in Turin, designed by Giacomo Matté-Trucco and finalized in 1923. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Fiat introduced a special edition of the popular Fiat 500e, the electric version of the modernized 500 model that remains a significant portion of the company’s sales.
Widely regarded as one of the top city cars available, this latest edition was created in partnership with the esteemed Giorgio Armani, a prominent figure in Italian fashion. Celebrating his 90th birthday, Armani has produced an ultra-stylish version of the 500e, marking the second collaboration with the brand (following a unique 500e model unveiled in 2020).
Manufactured in Turin, the new 500e Giorgio Armani is offered in two distinct color options, Dark Green and a ceramic ‘Greige’, a special blend of grey and beige exclusive to Armani. Enhancing the chic silhouette of the 500e are special wheel trims featuring a stylized ‘GA’ logo, a unique design that sets it apart from traditional wheel designs.
The interior of the Fiat has been luxuriously appointed, with intricate patterns on the seat inserts and laser-cut wood accents on the dashboard, reminiscent of the art of tailoring. The finishing touch is Armani‘s signature on the dashboard. Additional features include a premium JBL audio system and a glass roof.
Collaborations between fashion and automotive design have occurred sporadically over the years, from Lacoste’s partnership with Peugeot in the 1980s to Paul Smith’s collaboration with Mini. The Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani represents a notable addition to this tradition.
